On August 16, 2023, IFMA San Diego invited members to tour General Atomics’ Tokamak facility, which offered a unique opportunity to witness cutting-edge fusion research in action. The facility, home to the DIII-D tokamak, demonstrated operational flexibility and diagnostic capabilities vital to advancing fusion science.
Throughout the tour, our guide Jolie Lucas shared valuable insights into the facility’s work, leaving IFMA members with a deeper understanding of the technology shaping the future of energy research and development.
