March 2023 Luncheon – How to Manage Narcissists, Naysayers and Know-It-Alls

On March 8, 2022, IFMA San Diego hosted a luncheon discussing how to manage narcissists, naysayers and know-it-alls.
Held at Riverwalk Golf Club on Fashion Valley Road, attendees were given a presentation on how to be prepared when it comes to destructive personalities in the workplace. Presenter Wayne Whitzell provided dossiers of different personality types and how to identify their traits during an interview process. The presentation included strategies to protect employees from toxic behaviors to reduce turnover, increase team morale and prevent costly effects that can result from employing narcissists, naysayers and know-it-alls.
Our Speaker
Wayne Whitzell has been an IFMA member since 2000 and has received several awards including 2018 Distinguished Member, 2015 Associate of the Year and Distinguished Author in 2016 and 2021. He has also held leadership positions at both an international and local level. Wayne has presented multiple sessions at World Workplace, Facility Fusion and chapter and council events. He is the President of DFS Green, a company that focuses on workplace health diagnostics and verification, and maintaining carpet, fabrics, tile, and natural stone throughout the country.
